Academic Background:

After his specialist Urological training in the South West, Sunil Kumar was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2006. He joined Reading Urology in the same year.

He was awarded the South West Urologists Registrars prize in 1999. Sunil has a broad based training in general Urology and his special interest is urinary stone disease and its prevention.

Sunil has published papers and written chapters in Urology textbooks and has maintained an ongoing research interest in urinary stone disease.

He is keen to develop further minimally invasive treatment including laser surgery for stone disease.
