Academic Background:

Peter Malone was appointed as Consultant Urologist at The Royal Berkshire NHS Trust Hospital in Reading in 1990.

His specialist training in Urology was undertaken at St George’s Hospital and the Institute of Urology during which time he was awarded the Bard Medal, the highest award given by the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) to an urologist in training. He became a Fellow of the European Board of Urology in 1993.

Although trained in all aspects of urology he has sub-specialised in the treatment and surgery for prostate and penile cancers as well as urethral reconstruction for stricture and hypospadias.

He is widely published, is still active in research, and has served on many committees including the BAUS working party for early prostate cancer. He is past chairman of the British Prostate Group and has examined for the General Medical Council.
